what equipment should i aim for my light cruiser ? i dont have to much credits to test to many.

What you start with is fine. If you find any Mark 2 beam arrays (of any type), you may want to replace your existing beam arrays with them. Same for your torpedo.

While the weapon and damage type matter, when you're still in your light cruiser, it really isn't that big a deal. This is a good time to just try different things you find while doing missions to see how you like them before you hit the next rank and get a new ship.

If you reach LT 6 try to do the Starbase 24 fleet action. You can get some decent equipment there

What Hawks says. please note, that the SB24 mission that follows the fleed action is bugged and you cannot enter the SB itself .

At that level I would use all Beam arrays, no torps. But if you like Torps go ahead and use em.

I like dual beam phaser array and quantum torpedo, if you can find them.
