So what will this "festive event" that was mentioned in the recent Devblog (#23) entail? I hope it will be a little broader in scope than the Q weekends or 1st Year Anniversary events.
Perhaps the event will introduce some graphical things, like a celestial disturbance passing through our part of the milky way (snow was mentioned, snow in sector space?). Perhaps there will be a pve event like the mirror universe event in the pve queues.
An idea, could be for a event-tied weapon to be introduced which fires snowballs, and an accolade for hitting enemy players with a snowball in a pvp match before killing them?
'Tis the season, and I hope this event will be something new. What do any of you want to see happen with such an event? Should it be a mission/accolade/reward type affair or simply something that is in the background only (like a change of decoration in starbases etc)
Snowball Torpedo launchers - Fires snowballs that do -10 damage and cause the recieving ship to ice over.
EVE Online has been doing this for years so Cryptic should be more than capable... oh wait, nevermind.
Christmas Sale - More than likely with jacked up prices and none of the new ships on it naturally.
so many creative ideas and we only got the tip of it with ice covered ships :p.
how about a breen invasion of the moon and turn it into a ice ball, and breen on the planet invite you to take part in a breen version of paintballing only it's ice balls .
That was mentioned in another thread, that would be really fun. The snowball would use the grenade graphic when you throw it. The effect would be the telekinetic effect you can choose from racial traits. It would knock back and knock down for a second.
If they had it on Andoria it wouldn't bother anyone who didn't want to take part. They would just have to let Klingons fly into Sirius and go to Andoria. Or they could let Klingons transport to there just for a in game event.
