Cruisers didn't need anything to make them more effective. People who put thought into their builds can make them quite nasty. Aceton Field was already pretty good at what it did, it just wasn't about delivering heavy damage.

I have no idea what they are thinking with the new skill system, especially removing trainable powers. That is just nonsensical and arbitrary, and so much of the new science part of the tree seems just randomly placed and doesn't work well overall.

The change moving PSW to subspace decompilers makes more sense, since the stun is the main component of PSW that anyone uses it for.


As for Aceton Beam/Field, it is far from the only power which is out of whack. I'm hoping they have just been saving a major pass on the powers till the end, which is actually a good time to do it. But again quite a few powers are very much off, though Aceton is definitely the most grievous issue that needs fixing.
