I have been waiting for this for a very long time, but seven seasons? This is going to cost me a lot. CBS knows how to bleed Trek fans dry.

Maybe. But it doesn't have to be either / or.

May CBS be richer than the Grand Nagus.

As long as this results in an eventual DS9 in HD, I'm all for it.

Eventually yes, but it might be a good long while. To the best of my knowledge, DS9 is probably going to be the most difficult series to convert to blu-ray, for obvious reasons (epic space battles and every scene where Odo shapshifts will have to be re-rendered). I am actually unsure what is holding up Enterprise. It was filmed in HD. Maybe the effects were not rendered in HD.

I got TOS on Bly-Ray not long ago and love the great quality video it has and I will deffenetly get the entire TNG series on Blu-Ray when it comes out.

And this new trailer is awesome, can't wait for the release.
