So i've been gone for quite a while(close to a year), and ALOT has changed. I am currently revamping my spec. With all the additions and changes, does anyone put pts into the actual starship skills(science ship/cruiser/escort/etc) these days? I've got more questions that will come as we go along here...

I typically put 9 into every stat that covers the type of ship I'm flying. eg, flying a defiant I'd have 9 in all of the escort class ship skills.

That said, I wouldn't bother getting too up to date with the current skills, as the f2p build, along with the skill tree revamp, will be hitting holodeck (totally not utilising the subscription playerbase for a beta testing) on Dec 1st and all current knowledge will go out the window.

In this current build of the game, yes of course.

When the changes from Tribble go live around next week, there are no skills for ship types any more:
