We will be bringing down Holodeck on Wednesday, November 30th from 6:00AM to 9:00AM PST (1400 to 1700 UTC) in order to perform routine hardware maintenance. We will provide an update once the maintenance has been completed.

Perhaps if you would include something like "There will be NO patch with this" people wouldn't ask for patch notes...

One would assume "Hardware maintenance" would be self explanitory

And that wasn't possible today along with the maintenance or maybe the today's maintenance cumbined with tomorrow's hardware maintenance? Just asking. Could have saved us some playtime purrhaps.

Unlikely. Normally they specifically state when they are applying a patch, but that doesn't stop people from whining about notes when it isn't there.
