A bug that involved Romulan Liberated Borg captains and their skills once they chose an ally
Some characters were stuck in a loading screen with a "Server Not Responding" message
This is what I'm getting. Then you've got the arduous task of verifying all files which takes about 15-20 minutes. This is since I've patched to Season 5.
yes i had a similar one in open Beta involving the 3d ship skeleton..
CodeRanger of the DEV TM posted a
work around 2 days before the end of beta. on the Champions TEch forum. instead of over here cause they were so busy.
I had to del the texture HOGG's because the patch server proxy was all corrupted and Cryptic did not
have all the new Server Blades on line yet.
I force verified the new files three times and that cleared up all the bad ones.
Cryptics a great bunch of people and if they have any hints at all to help trouble shoot a problem they find help for us.
ah well could be.. I just popped down with my Andorian and crashes again them the
Error report had a glitch in sending Mini Dump .. Dump Failed no Receipt.
I send the reports if i can to help but the full reports a bit time consuming.
so, I got the game to run in safe mode after deleting all the .hogg files, but when I tried to run it normally, it crashed after finishing shader-preloading
ouch yes it should auto update like a normal patch and just re install a fresh HOGGs to you.
it may not first try good luck.. Hope it re installs next time you load the client
so heres the work-around thus far: Delete all files in the Star Trek Online\live\piggs folder, and let the patcher re-download them. From what I can tell about when I went from safe-mode to normal, the work-around is only temporary, but it does work
for me, atleast.
Edit: It seems to do the trick just fine. Was able to enter the game completely after the initial normal-mode load
I am seeing more corrupt HOGG files occuring over the past 2 months or so - I have to routinely delete the HOGG files from the Live folder (the files are then copied from the Tribble folder again when launching the game). The force verify does not seem to fix corrupt HOGG files.
