Yes, that's because they are so uber.

I mean, quads? not just duals. Ignore DPS, that must be OP without something like engine drain. And we all know that the Defiant flew rather slowly, unlike the Enterprise.

Quads are DMG x 4 but that is it. No extra critH, CritD or Acc. So a small boost in base base damage that most heals can keep up with. No nerf is needed.

OK so stupid question - where do you get the quad cannons? I assume they are only Phaser? Do they have different rarity options (common, green, blue, purple).

Second quesiton someone mentioned that you have to have the correct skills set in the new system for defense - Can you eloborate on that a bit more?

The Fed quads come on the Sao Palo refit. They are purple in quality and are only Phaser.

KDF can get them also but disruptor only I believe on some new BoP

They're not bad, but not great...and certainly not worthy of a nerf.

i just want to use 4 so when i fire i get -40 to my engines. nothing like a slow moving escort....

i think its the bigger issue of how pretty they look fireing is a compelete waste because any other cannon overlaps the fireing cycle so you dont get to see them fireing all awesomely.
