I don't mind these being difficult. I relish it, in fact. But there seems to be certain points where your teammates can screw you over. Case in point: Infected Space is the easiest of the STFs to complete, yet my teammates often just kill all the Generators instantly, then we are overwhelmed by about 10 spheres and I have to bash my head into the keyboard. I even had one where two of them insisted the way to win was to kill the middle gateway first, and spent the STF doing just that.
There's no way to kick underperforming players, and leaving gives you a 1 hour ban no matter what. Players can just sit unconcious and collect loot at the end should they desire.
Also, certain ships seem to be way overtuned. Donatra particularly has so much shield it takes forever to take her down, while other ships, like normal cubes and the tac cube at the beginning of Khitomer, feel just right.
In a related note, any fleets that run these on elite and want a player willing to learn and listen recruiting? Haha.
I am really on the fence on a kick system becuase your points on problem players... I agree with it all!!! However I have also in other games seen a kick system abused. And there is the risk of people kicking newbies who hoenstly want to learn but keep getting kicked cus they don't what to do.
A way to get ride of undsirables without the abilty to be abused is a hard thing to accomplish, but ya something should be done.
Actually if you take out the generators and the cube the transmitter will stop healing the central gate. This allows you to leave a transmitter alive while blowing up the main gate. If you time it right and kill the gate as well as all the spheres on the map before killing the last transmitter, you can bypass the fight with the tac cube. It still shows up, but the mission ends right away.
