At this point it doesn't matter what faction or what powers are in use - both sides can acomplish the same things through timing and teamwork or by choosing the vessel that gets them the build they are looking to use in combat from a solo aspect.
It definately high-power PvP but not unplayable by iether side.
I'm not talking about teamwork. I'm talking about one person's ability to make it so their target has to pretty much sit there and take it. There is no fight, it's just a kill. With all the new consoles and weapons there is very little skill involved, you've just got to activate the I win sequence before the other guy does.

And I'm saying that almost any body can do it if they use the proper abilities in sequence and time it right.
This " its just a kill" is nothing new and its not becuase of the new consoles per se, they just brought a different combo is all.
If the Devs where to remove the consoles and the BIo missile, we would still see this style of " stop - cripple- kill" play becuase its not new.

If the Devs removed all the "magical" powers of damage buffing, CC/Stun/Placate and healing then the cries would be Escorts are too strong cuase they can mount DHCs and turn fast, The Cruisers are too strong cause they have lots of health to chew through and just sit at distance and beam one to death or run and Science would be totally screwed becuase they have nothing to bring to combat.

six one way - half a dozen the other.

remove the gimmicks and nothing will change. People will still feel that the system is not working as it should.

grav well has been fixed, it doiesnt look like transfer has though.

What about FBP? They reduce the numbers on that? I didn't see anything about it in the Patch notes.

Im talking about the Plasmonic Leech Console. Equip that, fly around with scatter volley and watch your power levels. its like having EPS Power Transfer III active all the time.

It may be bugged then as it doesn't do diddly unskilled and used with CRF
Skilled for drain, it may work better but unskilled I've seen no effects worth writing home about.
Possibly the multiple strikes of CSV are feeding it false information and falsey increasing its effectiveness.

Does it do the same under BFAW?

According to the release notes for today, the inertial dampeners & sensors skills have been corrected and now give the proper resistance. I guess maybe the inertial dampener console is useful again...

i didnt really test it in detail. just saw all my energy levels increase above 100 on tribble.
gaius just tested it against a fleet mate and got a drain of -28 on a single target with 6 energy weapons and about -50 in siege mode. lets take this -28 on 2 targets und you get 56 on alll your levels. and while the energy drain is a Tier 1 skill, i'm sure, he put 9 into that.

let there be 2 or 3 klingon escorts scattering... who will have enough energy left to fight them?

Sounds broken when used with Scatter Volley ( and I guess BFAW) to me or its taking a power from every shot taken within its duration of use.
basically sounds broken to be draining that much power.
Odd though, I never saw any effects like this when I used it.
Is giaus skilled in drain attacks?

As I said, I think he is. Its a Tier 1 skill and we dont put anything into ground on space chars. So I bet he skilled it.
