What is sad is seeing all of the stuff that Cryptic has made that has just gone to waste:
Character Profile pages used to have the image of thier star ship on there: http://startrekonline.com/character_profiles/919800/ which is mine still has the image in there http://startrekonline.com/dyncontent...85409be861.png but is just screwed up
Also those pages still show Rear Admiral instead of Vice admiral for level 51
Player search is broken: http://startrekonline.com/search/character_profiles
Powers page is broken: http://startrekonline.com/database/powers/s (even the json database that it is supposed to pull from is broken)
Missions database is empty: http://startrekonline.com/database/missions/s

From my research it seems that the person working on these sites for Cryptic no longer works there. He left sometime around the one year aniversary.

Cryptic it would be greate to be able to view more information about the game before F2P happens.

On a side note, it is funny digging deeper into the history of STO. When Perpetual entertainment was creating their system they were going to have fully built out decks of the ships:

That was the level of detail of just one deck!

While it's interesting to compare the STO we have, with all it's good and bad points, to Perpetual's vision of a Star Trek game at the end of day they produced little more than vapourware before they went bust.

Interesting shots though...

I wish people would quit comparing what STO actually is to what Perpetual claimed they were going to make. The fact that Perpetual actually produced NOTHING invalidates any comparison right out of the gate.

While the interiors would have been really cool, this is my biggest concern. Read the ENTIRE post

I think part of the confusion is your thread title is all about those first couple of sentances, then you start on the completely different and unrelated topic of how poorly the website is maintained. If it was your biggest concern you probably should have given the subject it's own thread.
