It is a lottery at the end of the day, I understand that and you buy your box and take your chances. I would have thought there would be a safeguard on how it worked or what it gave you as it is an ingame/c-store system. For example it checked what your account 'owned' and gave you something you didn't have, for me that would have been the Doff prize, the ship or the blue box and i wondn't have minded that. But now i have stuff i can't use as i already have them unlocked on my account and are going to be sitting there collecting dust (bar the Photonic officer who is off to a friend as he hasn't got one and i have him, so see no point in letting it collect dust) because everyone is going to have them and the exchange will be full of them because others will probably be in the same situation.

it clearly said in the winter package is one of following.
it did not say you have a very very small chance to win something that might be good. but to be honsest u will only win horta's and other crap that u dont want.
on the fact that the winter package info was so misleading they should refund our money.
if i had known that the odds where better to hit by lighting than win what u wanted.
i would have spent my c-points on duty off or a ship something that i could have used
i would have thought since xmas is coming it would be evryone gets a cool item free.
something that would make u want to spend c-points to upgrade it like the consoles from ships etc... . that way u can get a gift and have the option to buy impovements for it.
but what we got is flush ur money down the toilet in the hope it floods and gives u something back. the only problem is what we get back is crap,
if ur very very very lucky or have gotten carried away and spent so many c-points that when u think about it makes u sick.

Agreed, the description of the frostfall box implied a relatively fair chance to get that ship, not an chance of 3721 to one against it.
But since cryptic still owes me one year of content it's not that hard for me to resist spending even an single cent for c-points.
And this is how Cryptic kill a great game. I think this is just the start, and with paying costumers.
What will happen when f2p is here, will all nice items comes in a box, and you will have a chance to get it ?
I didn't like the changes, but I know if they come with more of those boxen crap, I will leave the game.
