The rate is shaping up to be around 0.66% or so right now. I just gave Cryptic the benefit of the doubt, and a less salacious headline, by saying 1%.

Yeah, I was going to guess somewhere between 0.5% - 1%. It's hard to say with a small sample size.

Yeah... I'm not gonna try to get these kinds of items with cash again. If I get it while going for attainable things like scarves, cool. Otherwise, I'll pretend they don't exist.

I wish I could pretend that they didn't exist. This is the first new Escort model released since the start of the game. Cruisers and Science ships have already gotten 2.

I have been flying my Fleet Escort since the first month of the game. I want to have access to another ship that is not the Defiant.

Putting the first truly new Escort since the launch of the game behind this time gate or pay wall is a very poor choice. I really am very upset by it.

Who laughed at the $80 Eve monocle? Now we have a $200 ship.

I hear the drop rate improves if you do in fact, have, a, monocle.

At a drop rate of 0.68%, each ship costs effectively 14,600 C-Points or effectively $190.

I wonder what would upset the user-base more: never seeing this ship on the C-Store, or it costing $200 worth of Cryptic points.

Impatience tax. I'm willing to bet (though not $100) that this ship will be made available for a more reasonable price and outright purchase, probably sometime next year. And there will be screaming about that too, of course, from everyone who's scratching lottery tickets right now.

Remember its less then 1% of red boxes.

And most of the free boxes are green. So the odds of getting it free are much lower then 1%.

Yaah, I expect Cryptic to double dip this reward. The recuit a friend rewards are being used again for this promo and the taco bell shuttle was reused for a promo as well. I would expect this ship to be avilable again down the line. Maybe some type of on sale for 1 week only Cstore offer.

Or offer to sell it for 100K worth of dilithium.
