The best Path to 2409 yet.

The Federation becoming overstretched and struggling to deal with all it's problems. That's what you get for continually sticking your nose into everyone else's affairs.

The Klingons keeping up their fine tradition of fighting with everyone (themselves included).

Best of all though, The Romulan Empire is starting to get it together. Oh how I loved reading about Admiral Taris defeating J'mpok and his Klingon dogs, leaving them to retreat like cowards

Throw in a mention of highly advanced ships on the Romulan side, together with Sela finally resurfacing and I'm getting way too excited :p

I beg to differ. I've read them all too and if anything, surely the "only 35% of the crew is human" is the reference being made?

I really enjoyed that - but can I play devils advocate for a second.

This was a very militaristic story - but the implication is that even the science vessels are going to be pulled from exploration for escort duties. At this rate turning up at starbase - all missions are going to have a military bent with the option just to head out for some exploration being limited by constant SOS's and orders to escort ship X to place Y.

Strkes me that things are going to have to settle down a little to allow for the science vessels to get back to science-y (ahem) missions..!

Great story though!

They return the Soong Foundation's class action suit to a lower court to determine what defines sentience in a legal sense.
I'm sure that'll be resolved in a swift and timely manner.

*cough*

Great Read

I am assuming at some point they will have to mention the new or more efficient ship yards being built
to explain the number of ships appearing and on standby when the game goes live.

Looks like the Lunas just got confirmed.

Also it seems that Starfleet should start a crash ship building program to boost numbers. Maybe start cranking out Defiants, or other small frigates or PT boats.
