Hi everybody,

I got to VA on my Tac/Escort the other day and i was looking at my choices for my 4 Tac console slots. Now i have heard that there are diminishing returns when stacking consoles. Is there anyone that can give me an idea of how much that is?

My weapon setup right now is x4 AP DHC and x3 AP turret, so no torpedoes to worry about. My current Tac console setup is x2 +24% AP damage and x2 +16% energy damage. The 2 +16% was when i had mixed array and single cannon, but i have since went to full DHC/turret. So since the console types are technically not the same for each pair do they each have their own DR? or is it shared regardless?

Which setup should i stick with?

-Current 2 console +24% AP damage each and 2 console +16% energy damage each

-Or go with 4 console +24% AP damage each and just eat the DR loss. Instead of 96% increase what will the new + percent be with DR factored in?

I tested this out and i haven't found a DR at all, i use 3 tac consoles to boost my weapons and each gave the same bonus in damage.

You heard wrong. Depending on how you look at it, there isn't DR on consoles at all, or only for certain engineering ones. (And a few exceptions, like the shield increasing one, which you can only benefit once from).

The engineering ones that provide resistances are the only ones that some might consider to have DR, as each console you add of the same type adds less percentage points to your resistance, but that doesn't mean you're not mitigating as much damage. See http://theenginescannaetakeit.wordpr...shing-returns/ for more details.

For the non-resistance ones? No diminishing returns. There never was any.
