This challenge for any that choose to accept would be to come up with one or more decent builds using ships and components on hand (until at least better component can either be won or purchased) note that discarding ships and components is acceptable as well so please make a separate discard list:

The emergency power to X skills should be chained as follows: Shields A, Weapons A, Shields B, Weapons B, Return to start. This will get you a good amount of damage output on it's own.

I believe this conforms with your rules.

EDIT: Also you should add phaser relays to your list as you can't complete the story content without getting a few of these.

With the power levels I had in mind for it, yes. Combat engines at 60+ power are worthless and off the top of my head I think the stats on the chosen deflector are more favourable than the Breen one.

Still that does seem like an awful lot to discard. Is there nothing salvageable of the remaining ships and components?

Its just kind of a haphazard assortment of mismatched stuff, like a shipyard's junk drawer. Some of it is decent, but a lot of it is vendor feed. Plus when some pretty good stuff can be farmed from repeating specific missions a couple of times, its perfectly viable to do a very effective ship out of specific things and only having to buy a few bits of gear to round it out. Why kitbash when you can build for purpose, even on a budget of zero?

ok, how would you guys do it. I don't PvP much. I am willing to repeat missions for good gear and good builds for STFs and PUGs. I like to rotate my T5 ships. Anything less than T5 I will likely drop although I will keep the runabout for shuttle missions.

I'm open to suggestions at this point

For something on the cheap, I'd maybe run the Jem'Hadar space set and farm up some Dominion Polaron arrays from Boldly They Rode (plus you already have a stash of polaron tac consoles). Alternately, do a bunch of runs of Sphere Of Influence for those Antiproton [acc]x2 arrays, then hit the exchange for a positron [sif][stl] deflector, a resilient [cap][pla] shield, and some Mk11 green AP tac consoles, then farm either the Breen, Jem'Hadar, or Efficient impulse engines. Toss either setup on one of your cruisers and you should be able to handle reputation stuff just fine.

Cheap gear can be grabbed on the exchange. Mk XI Rare Acc x2 weapons are much cheaper than Mk XII VR items. But you can farm Accx2 arrays antiproton from the Voth missions or polaron from the Jem'Hadar missions.

Of the ships you have I like Support Cruiser Retrofit and the Assault cruiser. But I also rotate ships via multiple characters and focuses.

Basically 3 beams up front and back. 2 transphasic cluster torps fore and aft. Can be farmed in the Deferi missions.

Borg engine and deflector but you can easily use the breen set or Jem'Hadar set in the meantime. Shields you can use the Maco shields if using the breen or borg set. Eventually you want the elite fleet resilient shields ResB.


Builds will of course vary by ship.
