Ok im seeing weapons with red beams now,these are requisitioned with salvage & EDC's right? sorry i fergot to subscribe 1st time,and couldnt remember my title.

Didn't those used to be a purple-ish blue? Did they get a color change?

no the blue is tetryon the used to look like phasers but yes they did get a colour change

there is also polaron which are purple the dominion used them

antiproton used to be the same orange color as phasers, but with the Plasma beam effect, now the effect is more like that used by phasers and disruptors, but the color is more of a deep red.

Ahh, good to know as I've never actually had them before. Never had a reason to have them, standard ship phasers have always worked just fine for me to get regular missions done.

Personally I think the red is too deep, since it no longer looks luminous. It's sort of an opaque dark red now. I'd have been happier with a brilliant yellow or something, since they used to have a yellow lightning effect inside an orange-red glow. They were just too similar to the phasers before, so I understand the need for an update, but I don't think it looks good.

I kinda have to agree. Every time I think of Anti-Proton weaponry, I think back to the Planet Killer from the original series. And will always view anti-proton as this and this. Neither of them red.

And i liked the old Polaron beams better too,
the new wobbly ones are looking so... *wobbly*, like if they were badly calibrated or something.
