Well, I'd still like to see a link. I follow the dev tracker on twitter and I don't ever recall seeing anything like that.
if this is true and a dev said that even if they where trying to be Cryptic (no pun intended but I'll take a giggle if you'll let me have it ) then they should be fired on the spot or at the very least moved to another department where they wouldn't be in direct contact with the customer base in any way.
I've worked as a Customer Service Rep. for many a years, and if I had said something even remotely close to what was allegedly said, I would of been told to leave and my belongings could be picked up at the end of the day along with my to-date pay check and sent on my marry way.
of course when it comes to ugly moments like this the first thing a dev or that dev's supervisor will do is go and edit the post or just yank it all together and the person will end up with a light slap on the wrist and told to use better words next time.
I think grab-bags will become the norm, as much as it saddens me.
Agreed. And I could see the TR-116 being the sought-after prize in one of the bag iterations. I've got one, and it seems to be the object of a lot of admiration and envy in these fora.

i doubt it will be the top prize inside one...it's usless after about an hours gameplay. dosnt look that good either really.
it might be a sub-prize but not a main attraction.
Why not just charge 3000-4000 CP for it instead of these horrible stories of people sinking $300+? That would discourage everyone from having it and still bring in a hefty chunk of change.
I traded all my stored up dilithium for 1300 CP took 13 chances for my Klingon and now I'm just going to do daily drawing for it.
Its simple really, if they have made a lot of money from the lottery bags then they would be stupid to not use them again...... They would also be stupid to add the dominion attack ship to the c-store unless they plan to never add that to a drop bag again...... Would you rather have people throwing cash at you for something they "might" get......spending lots on money on C-points.... or have a set price for something like 800 c-points?
You can rage and whine about it on the forums but people will always buy them due to greed and the need to gamble....... You can rage quit but this is going F2P soon so you will soon be replaced by many more people withing to throw cash at Cryptic and PW......... From a money making point of view.... PW and Cryptic have been very clever.
If they were collectible cosmetic items (a permanent holo emitter that turned your ship into a Jem'Hadar, or even a JH ship with the same stats as other escorts) I really wouldn't care.
Since they've decided instead to release the best, most powerful ships in the game in them, then yes, I mind enough that I'm quitting.
Two or three grab bag events a year wouldn't upset me, no. A month-long Christmas one, week-long Anniversary, maybe a short week-ish midsummer one 'round July. That said, I'd prefer it remain an annual Christmas deal.
