I really doubt that you'll get ANY response to that question (except for the Official one when it's time)...

The Dev's have been burned to many times recently, trying to be informative to the forum players...

Even I wouldn't touch that one and I'm a glutton for punishment.

Look at this screenshot, which is the closest reproduction of the angle from Logan's shot I can find, and has the paintjob. See the row of windows along the stripe? I think that's what we're seeing there. But Logan's pic is a little fuzzy and there's no light source on the back to illuminate the situation, so I can't say for sure.

Alternatively, this angle shows what I'm trying to point out, too. See how the windows along the stripes are similar to the lights we see on the separation pic?
hmm, haven't ever seen the ship with those black portions, that black stripe could be the dropped out center and shadow that im seeing. perfect angle to be confusing, we need another picture to be sure. still, the whole front end with the deflector seems gone, it should be sticking out quite a bit.

Hey Cap,
Since you talk to Rademaker...you think you could talk up getting the Merian Class as well?

For reference if people don't recognise the class:

hmm, with the mounting evidence, i have to assume that the secondary hull is basically intact, and there isn't a 3 part split like i originally though, just a saucer sep and aux craft. new twitter pics

http://twitter.com/#!/CapnLogan/stat.../photo/1/large

http://twitter.com/#!/CapnLogan/stat.../photo/1/large

still don't know what the deal is with the lack of deflector and front end of secondary hull in this pic,

http://twitter.com/#!/CapnLogan/stat.../photo/1/large

it looks like there's nothing there past the sweeping neck components. the hull should be sticking out quite a bit, like in this pic, but you can see were the far neck ends and the space background begins, you wouldn't be able too if the deflector was still there.

ive got a feeling the aux craft slots below the rear shuttle bay, in the very rear of the ship. looks like an empty docking bay to me

I want a original ship design from CapnLogan,

but with three conditions.

1.) Its a new Science Ship.

2.) It has 4 Nacelles

3.) Its called the "Raging Queen Class Ship ".

Its canon I swear !

It just dawned on me. You know what I bet is happening there with the deflector?

The Odyssey's deflector has a lip over the top of it when viewed from the side. You can see it in the comparison pic you posted earlier. What's probably happening is, we're looking at it from an angle where the lip is totally concealing the glow. The deflector itself is probably a bit recessed into the hull anyway, like some more modern deflectors. So it's not that it isn't there, it's just the ship itself is blocking the light.

the snout, for lack of a better term, is still missing. whats supposed to be beyond both neck pylons is strangely gone. even if the rim is hiding the deflector from view, its still a light source and should still be glowing somewhat. it shouldn't be so completely black
