I'm running a tac heavy layout, i have a Lt tac in the universal slot more tac options for different ships i fight. i have no hull heal buff, but use polerize hull and shild heals used with tac team. i have very fast hull repair rate, but if s*%t hits the fan i run. the other universal slot is sci

its a attack ship so i made it one, quick kills but if it truns into a long fight i can keep my hull up while i get in postion for my kill run. oh i put a heavy beam or torpeto turraut out for extra fire power

ive switched to running the full borg set accept the shield. Im running the mk xi M.A.C.O. shield and its incredible the survivabilty of it all. you get shield and hull procs from the borg set and with that shield im well over 10,000 hp per shield facing with only a 5% bleedthrough. its GREAT.

I had always felt that if you were to get the bugship, it'd be wasted on PvE, but that in PvP, everyone would be gunning for you. Frankly, if I were to get the ship, I'd probably either sell it or give it away to a deserving fleetmate.

I got 99 problems, but a bug ain't one.

Do the Sau Paulo's quad cannons work on this ship? Just wondered whether it was classed as an 'escort' or not.

My Jem is loaded weapon wise as:

I am a Engineer and only did cruiser's before:
Here is my loadout on the Jem' Hadar

Weapons:
Fore: 3DHC 1 Quantum torp
Aft: 2 beam arrays, 1 Quantum torp

I have full set (purple MK XI's) of both antiproton and polaron's w / 3 each Tac consoles on a per weapon type plus a zero point console

Shield, Engine, Deflectror ~ Aegis.

The extra Lt slots are engineering and science.
I been playing around with many different types of powers and console load outs.

However - I am PvE only at this time - waiting for the changes to quit or at least slow down.

You can really 'Tank' this ship if you want BUT it's more fun in weapon's power mode (Escort)

I tried turrets however I like the way the beams 'point' out my target -

since you are using beams already try a dual beam array up front. with disruptors ive hit for over 80,000 on a single shot with beam overload 3. And a 4th console to boost damage would serve you better in the long run over the zero point

Thanks for the reply/response.

I tried running with a DBB up front, found that it seems the 3 cannons work better.
I do have rapid fire on them and in PvE most ships go 'pop' in 3 rounds of blast or less.

Also to note - I checked and I am running 4 tac consoles as you said - I must have tested it before and found it still climbs in power after 3, I have did a bunch of testing this ship.

I have enough of AP's, Polarons and consoles weapons and / or to swap out from tank to escort, testing has been fun.
The purple Polaron's sure look pretty to go with the purple coming out the back from the engines.

I am still wondering if I should use the Lt Science slot I am using for something else.

I also still have a second Jem in the box - don't know what I'll do with it yet !

Yes they do. Only one per ship though just like any other escort.

I kind of have the same problem like the OP. I run primarily a science toon and have been flying an intrepid retrofit forever. I am working on creating a suitable loadout for my Jem'Hadar ship that works for a science toon.

I agree, it's fun testing to see what works and what does not.

Is this about what everyone else is getting?

Like most escorts this ship will suffer from a sci stand point. You could run both universal LT slots as sci but you will be less effective than running it as a straight up escort with the universal slots dedicated to healing yourself.

If you really want a sci escort then pick up the MVAM off the c-store. With a LTC sci slot you can easily slot gravity well or some other evil sci power. From personal experience that ship is a nightmare to fight in pvp with a sci captain at the helm. When you put a sub-nuke into your alpha strike with your pieces shutting down subsystems with phaser procs and they fact that if you put any of the new consoles on your pieces will also use many of the abilties from them... Its just an ugly ship. BTW the galaxy retrofit does this as well. Ive seen my saucer fire off anti-matter spreads.
