You'd have static on your screen, your map would be useless, you'd have reduced visual range so you wouldn't be able to see a foe until you were right up on them in some cases, and your shields would be either reduced or gone lol.
This sounds great, in theory.

Except weapons in space are all auto target. Unlike the ground pvp revamp with shooter mode where you need to aim and have a % chance to miss a shot, all space attacks hit. They would need to add in some RNG factor that makes weapons miss a great deal or require line of sight to hit the target. Combined with lack of sensors and decreased draw distance as you suggest, it would work great. If they can get space pvp to work with non-targeted attacks.

Space attacks actually do miss currently its just on holodeck there is no "visual" for it. On Tribble However thanks to a new visual update you'll actually see when they miss instead of just seeing the text "Miss".

The miss math has always been there this is just a visual to show you when you actually do
