Collected and crunched some numbers on Structural Integrity and Shield Systems; here's the final results . . .

Structural Integrity & Shield Systems bonus to Hull & Shields FOR T5 SHIPS ONLY
1 ... + 5.45%
2 ... + 10.9%
3 ... + 16.4%
4 ... + 19.4%
5 ... + 22.4%
6 ... + 25.4%
7 ... + 27.0%
8 ... + 28.5%
9 ... + 30.0%

These values are for T5 ships only becuase lower tier ships give smaller percentage boosts even at same skill level.

For instance, a skill level of 5 will give a 22.4% boost to your T5 ship but only 15.6% boost to your T3 ship.

This has to be a Joke????
There is no way that putting points in there does nothing. if so..

I WANT MY POINTS BACK!!!! (or it should say in tool tip for it.. Broken Dont spend points here.!!!!!@

Thats odd. I would think the skilling would offer the same benefit across the board regardless of ship.

That's just hte way things work around here. Don't worry though, they'll fix the one skill in about 8 months time and break the entire rest of the tree in the process.

I have a simple question about hull points anyways:
I recently skilled full points into Structural Integrity, giving my Excelsior a total of aroung 50.7xx points of hullstrength. Now however I recently saw comparable T5 ships, Assault Cruisers, other Excelsiors who got 52.xxx or even 53.xxx points into hull. How can one achieve that? Is there any other skill which has an impact on the number of hullpoints?
