After you get the game updated and get in game, you can uninstall Pando Media Booster or shut it down (PMB.exe in Windows Task Manager) if you start getting unusual lag spikes or other network issues.
You must be on a Windows Admin account, or have Run as Admin access to be able to download, install, update, and run the game. If on Windows Vista or 7, you may have to change the level of your UAC settings or turn them off temporarily.
You may need to update or install the latest Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable. You may need to install or update to the latest Microsoft .NET Framework for your version of Windows and also update to the latest version of DirectX. You may also need to check or change your network settings.
You can try adding the game folder/files to your exceptions list in your antivirus and firewall software. Please see the help menu or support website for the software that you use if you aren't sure how to do it.
At your own risk, you may have to disable your antivirus, firewall, and other security software temporarily while you download, install, update, login to, and play the game. Sometimes the security software will block it or throttle it, no matter what you try or even if you try to add exceptions for the game files in your security software.
You may also have to disable, shut down, uninstall, or disable any: torrent, keyboard/mouse, web browser toolbars, video/screen capture, gamepad/input device, multimedia, Instant Messaging, voice over IP, web browser games, other games software applications before downloading, installing, updating, logging into, and playing the game. Basically shut down all non-essential programs.
If you need further help, when you contact us by a support ticket, please answer the following questions:
What exactly did you try in the information presented to you?
I have the same problem as others and I have to ask: Is this an automated response or something similar? Did you even read through the topic before posting a response?

Get the game updated? Get in the game? That's what's not working in the first place!

I guess everyone has already tried that. It's become like a universal solution when something doesn't work in Windows Vista or 7.

Uninstall, shut down or disable keyboard/mouse and gamepad/input device? The game is interactive, right?

You can do so here: https://support.perfectworld.com/ If you want to send us a ticket, you may have to create a PWE account and/or associate your Cryptic account to a PWE account.
If you send us an email, PLEASE include as much information as you can about your problem.
Which game, where in the game, what your install, download, update, connection, Windows, hardware, software, antivirus, login and similar problems are.

If you reside in, or have an IP address originating from, one of the above countries, you will not be able to play PWE games or create a PWE account. These countries are banned for legal/administrative reasons.
Not sure how this affects Cryptic's games, though.
Thanks for posting that, HOWEVER, PWE is working with Cryptic to get a 100% answer on this for Cryptic games. Hence why I haven't said anything definite because I haven't gotten denial or confirmation with the various Cryptic and PWE teams yet
That is why I suggested players contact customer support.

Yeah, I thought about that about two seconds after I hit reply. That's why I added the part about how I'm not sure how this applies to Cryptic games, especially once PWE and Cryptic are fully integrated.

Dont worry we know its a Cryptic problem, the same exact issue happens ocasionally when trying to connect to one of their games, Champions Online, and has been happening for months. The only solution we got, and it was fixed by other users, is uploading the Champions Online.exe from someone who doesn't have this problem so the other users can download it and overwrite their's. Had to do that three times with CO and worked every time.
Im not sure if this will help here, but when i saw the same kind of error i couldnt help but think "oh hell, not again...". Anyways, i have to admit that im surprised (and pleased) to see admins posting in the forums so quickly since CO forums seems to be... deserted.
PS: The Cryptic Error program doesn't detect the launcher as a process so it won't let me submit any details using it.
