# 1 Recommendations for Ship.

sup

just got Commander (hint: congratulations) and bougnht the Akira as it seems the most powerfull ship. 3 fore weapons 2 aft and 3 tac consoles

what would the recommendations be? 3 same weapons like plasma and 3 same consoles to boost them? and aft 2 weapons that have 360 angle to fire to front?

Well in terms of weapon damage type, you game slightly more DPS from the damage type tactical consoles. They are slightly higher then the weapon type tactical consoles (by a few percent). PvPers suggest sticking to the same damage type for weapons for that reason. For PvE, it's not going to mean that much of a difference, if any at all.

Weapon loadout for escorts for PvE can be what suits your fancy. I've seem escort beam boats. I've seem (and do it myself) sticking to the default weapon out (upgrading the weapons). For maximum DPS, you'll want to so with cannons up front and turrets in back. Dual cannons are the more damaging weapon type in the game but a narrow firing arc of 25 defrees. But escorts have no problems with maintaining fire. For efficiency in power (and more DPS), player respond Dual Heavy Cannons. If you are wanting more chances for weapon procs, Dual Cannons are better (more damage ticks). Turrets in back to maintain fire while you are coming around to attack with front cannons.

AS to exacty loadout, well you'll have to figure out what works for your. Some players will adding a Dual Beam bank up front for Beam Over (II or III), other will have a Torpedo launcher to have a big punch after the cannons take down a shield facing. Some player will put a Torpedo launcher in back to have a big punch after a pass, or put in a Mine Layers top do the same after during the attack runs. (Using Tri-colbalts for either for really BIG punches).

IF you arent more detauls builds and advice, look in the Federation Shipyards section. There are guides and player will answer more detaul questions about escorts and their builds.
