So what you pointed out is not a valid arguement in any sense

Fact still stands, this is a game breaking issue with anyone with a cloak, that any popup causes the cloak to break, meaning exposing you, which in many maps and instances, including some PVP, it inteferes with game play. Thus making the experience with this iconic abilty a complete failure.

Understand over all the multitude of things to be fix, there have been countless tickets, countless posts, countless conversations over this very topic, yet exactly 12 months later... Here we are, with this game breaking bug that still exists... Think about all the patches, redesigns and other work that has occured that has touched all those maps and areas... Yet this was not fixed??

in the immortal words of Football annoucers... "C'mon Man!"
I would hardly call it game breaking. annoying as hell yes. game breaking. no not at all, unless game breaking now just means annoying.

as i said they tried to fix this about 6-8 months ago. they thought it was fixed and it failed. i dont know why it failed but i would hazard a guess that there is an even larger underlying problem that means its even more complex to fix or a fix would only result in it breaking again at a later date making the time spent fixing it pointless.

unless they come and tell us why we wont know the ins and out and everything is speculation but game development is complex and we are players often dont realise these ins and outs unless they tell us, but i responded to a person who thinks it should b fixed inside a week as being realistic when it may not be.

there comes a point where you have to make a call of where time is best spent. perhaps its a lost cause. perhaps they dont know exactly what is causing the problem and they are still investigating. perhaps the guy doing the fx updates is not the same one who would do the bug. i really dont know but again if its doable, they would do it.

Alright, to raz Cryptic a little more (it's all in good fun), let's take this comparison to the logical extreme. If decloaking is a regular feature for Klingon ships, don't you think Cryptic should offer non-decloaking ships in the C-store? I mean don't they at least owe us Captain logan reskinned cloaking ships? Come on people!

On a more serious note, I really hope that this gets fixed at least by season 6. Even they haven't fixed it by then, all hope is lost.

Yes this is damned annoying. Flying cloaked through the borg fleet at Kerrat, then the pop up saying that i can now target the repair hulks (which is duplicate information as it's on my left of the HUD anyway as aims and objectives), which not only kills my cloak but also drops my speed to zero.

Needless to say i get vapourised shortly afterwards.

Cheer's Cryptic, now fix the damn bug, of just quit with the pop ups.

I tried disabling the automatic pop ups but it doesn't actually work (well worked for a few minutes and then reverted back to appearing even thoguh still ticked in options).

In all seriousness, if I recall correctly, Cryptic did come out (at some point) and say it was working as intended. For those who don't like it, that never satisfied them. But Cryptic says there's nothing to fix. Flash is not coming to iOS!

No defense for it, no excuse either.
Not that I am not willing to give the benefit of a doubt to anyone, but this has been going on over a year. It needs to be addressed and corrected pronto. And yes its game breaking, you get a popup right before you are to cloak into an area to bypass ships to complete a mission, or as you enter a PvP or Elite STF and BAM your visable and things are shooting at you. Tell me then its not game breaking... Those that have had to deal with this as Fed/Klink will disagree with you. Myself included.

While I understand what you are saying, I am also saying, that is no defense. There is no reason this should of been allowed to continue on as long as it has. It's like bying a car with no windshields, you may get by on a promise the first time, but word gets around that you can not deliver, folks will stop buying your product.

The sad part is, this is not the worst of the issues that are still part of this wonderful game, that have been around since beta. It is just one that has had its anniversary of one year, still broke, after all the updates, redo's, and overhauls.

Now, for those that bought your nice Gx, from the C-Store, or cloaking Defiant, or just about 80% of the Klingon fleet ships, that can cloak, hey congratulations, your in the same boat as me and several others who are not to pleased to be celebrating this anniversary... Your Cloak is broke, and has been for one year as of this day of the patch one year ago on the OP time of his post.

Just plain sad.
