please check your escorts and let me know. Could be a logical bug with the multipliers, of which im sure there will be a lot for sometime to come with the revamp.edited for clarity, i have the right skill, i just named it wrong in the OP.
You are correct sir. It was a topic the other day in opvp and others have confirmed. Even with an rcs I can't get back to pre-patch agility on any of my 5 escort flying toons.
And since all I fly is escorts. My feelings are kinda hurt by this change. I'm also a little butt hurt everyime I see a dread throw out a non spec'd fbp1 and do more damage in 5 seconds than I can.
In all I believe I will capture my timing again and get my burst back. Indidnt realize how much I depended on mobility for my plastyle. But..... We have to wonder why the new skill tree has had this impact, and was it intended or not.
Nerfing escorts (enter conspiracy theory mode) would be an easy way to make not so great players feel much better about pvp results. As they would be more ground down by larger ships instead of being out maneuvered and therefore out gunned by escorts. Now for the life of me I can't see how cryptic would ever make changes to the mechanics to impact pvp gameplay.... But I can't help but wonder.

Starship impulse Thrusters improves speed and turn rate !!
after this mornings matches im quite certain of this. i dont think its as bad as i may have recently led on, but there is a difference. i have adjusted some timing and performed a bit better.
what i do like about the new tree is that my escorts's shields are back over 10k. they had been around 8-9 mostly before the patch. even tho tss nerf has me a little concerned still, an aux battery he1, tss2 combo is still great for getting that escort pilot back on his feet.

all my settings are the same post patch as pre patch. in terms of points in engine performance. and i swear maybe it was my defiant you were out turning. I was like wtf is wrong with my ship? I was checking to see if i had an orange indicator above my mesh to see if a system was disabled, but nothing.
my turn rate is 30.6 now. running 47 engine power. Increasing my engine power by 10, carries it to 32.xx ......
i think pre-patch I was above 35.x turn radius, but i cant be certain of the number. What I can be certain of is that my defiant escort is turning like crap, and this severely gimps me.
I still think there has to be some logical error with the new skills not adding in the multiplier properly, or not multiplying at the old value, which can't be meant to be. Impulse thrusters might not be granting the max bonus when completely specced, as you were getting in the similar skill pre space change.
Besides.....if you check it, the only thing different with this patch is the ground skills part, they didn't change the space skills except to add the warp coil skill to lieutenant, which leads me to believe that a logical error creeped in their some how. My turn rate was fine after the space revamp, and now its borked after the ground revamp, and i have the same engine power setting, and skill spec as before in the required skills for turn rate.
