To rotate scheduling would require staff to come in during the night which perhaps they are not willing to do and if it went wrong help would not be there. I guess we just have to live with it.
I do not think you are asking to be changed and that they come at night to restart the server, do it with 2 hours or three later. Not you, but I can put myself every day, same time and took a month I could barely play half of the month.

Are you cut and pasting Scheduled maintenance because you don't have enough staff writers..

My suggestions
>Hire more staff writers
> Print Schedule Maintenance Matrix

I think both would go to great lengths to improve Operations and Community awareness.

My Command Guidance

>Don't let things go down like OPEN BETA
Look at real numbers of KEYS issued and Clients Down loaded and have IFyou have to use the Office LAN to Support SUB user operations "Make it So"

They are in the process of hiring more staff.
This maintenance is not scheduled, much of it is emergency maintenance to cope with problems as they bring new hardware online to allow F2P to run smoothly.

After that we will probably be back to the normal weekly patch.

Fingers and toes are crossed!

(Thinks hard...)

Oh yes, STO is relaunching as STO-Free To Play. So what do the masses of new customers find when they come to try the game out? Yes that's right, its down for maintenance...on LAUNCH DAY no less.

I understand that maintenance needs to be done (there sure are plenty of things to fix) but on LAUNCH DAY???

There are times when I find it hard not to believe that at least one person in authority at Cryptic wants this game to fail! cryptic.
Just remember it is not a flick of the switch to allow everyone on the game, they have to do maintenance to allow everyone to sign up and be able to login, that will be the main patch today.

Haha hey, Sharp! How have you been? Yeah I avoid the SWTOR forums like the plague. Tried going through them several times during the beta but they are such a joke.
