/renderscale 2 will take a shot at double your screen's default dimensions, 3 will be 3 times. Keep in mind, these are rectangular areas, so renderscale 3 is actually 9 times the total pixels.
You should not run renderscales much higher than 2 or 3, you WILL crash the game.

Most screenshots we take will be on a computer running at 1680x1050, and we'll take them at renderscale 2, and then resize afterwards. This gives a cleaner look to things, and provides a type of antialiasing.
So type in /renderscale 2 to get the better picture.
To return it to normal again type in /renderscale 1 ?

Type or copy into your chatbox:

/bind SYSRQ "RenderScale 2 $$ VisScale 3 $$ screenshot $$ RenderScale 1 $$ VisScale 1"

and hit Enter.

This will bind the automata described above onto the Print Screen key. It might make cause a short lag, depending on your system.

And then there's me, and I added STO as a non-Steam game so I have the Steam overlay and screenshot tool. :p

Kant, all the commands mentioned above should still work. Including PrtScr.

Oh, I'm sure they do. I'm just saying that I'm lazy. (Of course, I still have to use the internal screenshot command to not see the UI in the shot...)

Turn off the UI (default Alt-F12) before you take the shot with your preferred method?

I copied that and upon hitting PRNTSCRN I get 'Unknown command Renderscale...'.
