I want to put Dual Heavy Cannons on my Ret Defiant and I want to go with max DPS. I am wondering what the preferred type is for DHC (Phaser, Disruptor, Plasma, Tetryon or Polaron)
I don't have access to Antiproton as I am gearing myself up for STF's
Also I got a Tricobalt Torpedo Launcher [Acc] [CrtD] from Fed Mirror event and I am wondering if that is better than Quantum Torpedoes. If not I will sell it on the Exchange.
Trico + Escort is generally a bad thing. Shockwave will damage you if you get too close. Preferred torp type of capital ships.
Antiproton is best, like it or not. They're cheap on Dilithium (a full set costs all of 40k for your DHC, 20k for your DBB, 20k for your torp, and 60k for your 3x rear turrets). You can get that much just from your conversion to F2P.
If for whatever reason you can't do that... then you have to acknowledge you are NOT going for max DPS. With that considered, you will want Disruptors or Phasers. Both are sufficient.

*EDIT* I just finished looking on the exchange and the cheapest that Antiproton DHC are going for is 1.3million EC so that is something I cannot afford. Disruptors and Phasers it is then.
