Having this problem where it shows server not responding lasts about 10-20 seconds then messages disappears and then says server disconnection. I have checked everything on my end including rebooting the router, checking for packet loss which there was not any. Connection on my side is stable but on Cryptics side some maintenance needs to be performed to correct this error.

I am having this problem as well and it seems to be getting worse the more I play.

I have noticed that when this happens, my entire internet connection turns off and comes back on when I select my internet browser again. I have no other internet issues--this only happens with ST.

I am sorry to say but there no workaround to the “Server nor responding…”.
this bug was on beta days, launch days, 2 months after launch days, and ofcourse ftp days.
this bug was the main reason I stopped paying cryptic my money.
it only happens with this game, and it’s not going to change.
let go back to Rift now….

The last time this issue was reported to me, it was a problem with the network hardware of the people reporting it. So please make sure your drivers for your net adapter are all up to date, and maybe run a diagnostic on it.

Have done--all up to date, diagnostic show no error. Also, since I posted this my computer actually powered down spontaneously twice while playing ST. Again, this has never happened with any other application. I will continue to look into potential issues on my end but thus far I can't find anything.

The spontaneous power down could be indicative of an overheating issue. STO actually makes more full use of your video card hardware than most other MMOs, so you may want to see what your CPU and GPU temos are when running it.
