I suggest there should be a Weekly Maintenance like at WoW every Tuesday (for the US) at 07:00 am untill 11:00 am and every Wednesday (for the EU) at the times mentioned before

But since there are no split region servers there should be only the Wednesday Maintenance

As I've said before, how is this any different than CCP and what they do with EVE Online? They bring it down DAILY for maintenance, and not one gripe there from the community. How is this any different? Y'all need to take a step back and relax.

Perhaps because CCP's downtime is scheduled daily downtime and is now often 30 minutes. CCP's servers are set in London and their main office is in Iceland. There's a significant time difference and 3AM PDT for maintenance makes US players happy (reminds them that they should be in bed/need to have gotten up) and in the middle of the afternoon often doesn't irk EU players.

Well, obviously, the work needs to be done. I would rather have them do a daily maintenance than not fix issues.

And I can imagine that the need to have this daily maintenance these last few days is embarassing enough for those who are responsible, and that they'll avoid such things as best as they can. So I'd say, make a few jokes here and there about it, but leave it at that?

guys chill they are probably trying hard to stabilize Vivox. If you have not noticed yet, the icon comes up then goes away. And/or its to fix bugs and exploits that all these new F2P players have found or ran into.
BUUUUT if it is Vivox then i dont know why they wont test coding first on tribble before effecting holodeck.

# 60 Memory Leak?
01-21-2012, 07:59 AM
My "Guess" for the reboot is a simple "memory leak" issue. They can reboot the servers and capture the memory lost for a while as the dev team works to plug the hole with code. That would explain the sudden crash in the evening a few days ago.
