The restarts though, may not be related to that, could simply be a preventive measure.
I would say preventative measure too, so we have less of a chance of a server crash during prime time.

With all this downtime I hope to finally see a fix for my Vo'Quv Bird of Prey, they've been broken for going on 3 months now

It is a good thing!

It lasts a very short time, even 2 hours is not that bad. It happens during UK dinner time so that is a bonus.

As someone mentioend, even our computer needs a restart. A server with thousands of users and hundreds of new accounts per day needs a moments break.

Once the F2P hype slows down a touch it will probably change to every 2-3 days.

It is also a good thing that they do it around about the same time so that people get used to it.

I'll tell you why, because I am only a few points away from getting the omega ground set and they know what times I usually play.

In that case they're doing you a favour unless you're after the (awesome) visuals. It's a nice set but MACO seems to be much better in my experience (I have both Mk XI Fed sets)

I have the maco one, which I prefer the gun so much better. I just wanted both sets.

yeah it is sort of doing my head in seeing that come up, it's like "you probably don't have time to do any missions, so why not just go away now."

I think the problem for a lot of people is that the reset during our prime time. Now, right after work, is when I can sit back and enjoy and hour or two in front of the computer. Most of that time is now gone, because the servers aren't back up. It was annoying at first, but it has been going on so long now that it's frustrating.

I just want to play the damn game..
