sto graphics are very good, keeping in mind its an mmo and they dont tend to have uber graphics. im sure there are superior games out there but that does not mean that sto's are bad or anything. space is especially nice.

I find that zooming in on things like Deep Space 9 is just wowing. There's a huge level of detail there, and with the redesigned wormhole and some of the new ship designs coming out / refurbished graphics, it's like they're trying to correct the weaknesses of the game's style.

Edit: I do know my friend Tyler's screenshots are a little lackluster compared to mine, but he plays on a laptop at low settings and player faces are like they're made of clay. lol Not like this though.

The person that said that has either not set things correctly or had a sub par machine and card.
There are a good few screen shot threads here that show what the game can do.

Facial details on high can be very realistic, and when the games lighting effects come into play, this is the result

Though for some reason the uniform details in that shot were bad. The next one shows great destail in the uniform texture.

Must have been another gamer who knows nothing about computers but spends all day on them lol

STO graphics are great for an MMO, if you have a decent machine which the player in question probably does not have.

STO's graphics WERE great...until that DX11 update...

Now, whether I'm in DX11 or not, I've got wonky graphics all over. Render distance foul ups, transparent stars and planets, flashing blue mist in Alpha Trianguli. Oh the horror...

Actaully I believe STO has the best graphics in the MMO market. Whoever says it sucks has a wimpy graphics card or a cheap ocmputer.
