A more important question, I think, than the ship disappearing, is will the mission also disappear.
If it's any good, I think I'd like to see it get the FE treatment - remain but without the limited time reward. It's just one mission on each side, but nobody'll say no to some story content, and it can remain as a show-off of the classes and if they go in the C-store later as an in-game advertisement to entice buyers.

This is a unique question. I would like to actually have the mission remain, and just not have the ship as a reward after the 4 days.
STO is canon for all things STO and I thought the Enterprise F was to be canon as permitted by CBS for future endevours.

The result of the “Design the Next Enterprise” contest from Star Trek Online and CBS, the next canon Enterprise has been unveiled.
Seems to me that if the owners (CBS) has allowed the term canon to be used and they have the final word on all matters concerning Star Trek, then canon it is to be.

I think there was a thing about this awhile back. The 1701F was going to be canon via the Cryptic line, but a new show or movie may or may NOT include Adam's 'F' design on screen. It was a comment made on the Trek forums, not STO's.

There is a difference between "Star Trek canon" and "STO canon". "Star Trek canon" is essentially whatever is in the shows/movies(as contradictory as they may be) and usually must be adhered to(or at the very least not contradicted) in all non-canon products(books, comics, video games, etc).
"STO canon" is whatever has been approved for the storyline of this game. However just because something is approved for the storyline of this game does not mean it is "Star Trek canon" anymore than this is, even though it was also approved by the license owners.
As far as the Ent-F goes, it is "STO canon", but not "Star Trek canon" until CBS/Paramount either A) say so or B) put it in a TV show/movie.
Something else to consider is that Star Trek has become an I.P. of diverging universes. The 'Needs of the Many' novel (I can't believe I actually paid for that) goes into detail about how the events in game have not occurred. In particular the interviews with the fine folks with Temporal Investigations draws attention to the Borg Invasion and subsequent deaths of some major and minor characters of Star Trek lore, as depicted in the TNG novels.
That being said, while the Odyssey class starship is STO canon, that's not to say that the universe depicted on TV will ever see the Odessy as designed by Mr. Ihle.
