well, it is a cruiser. you cant just turn it into a escort.

besides it has two universal consoles. you can make it into the most offensive tac cruiser in the game, or the most versatile science cruiser. they have done that to allow people to fit science or tac.

Not just the Star Cruiser. I'm seeing no reason to use any other cruiser than Odyssey.

The turn rate makes me go 'sigh'. I could've cared less about the bridge officer setup as long as she was fun to fly... and it kind of looks like she won't with that kind of maneuverability. I don't see how people can even bear to pilot the Vo'Quv; to me the Galaxy-class' turn is unacceptable and the Heavy Cruiser kind of nailed the "I'm a cruiser and am not nimble without making my pilot annoyed" sweetspot.

Being as equally nimble as the Sovereign was pretty much the minimum to me. >_>;

The turn rate isn't all that big of a deal.

Max out Impulse Thrusters.
Max out Engine Performance.
Have two copies of AUX2ID.

That should give it enough maneuverability. If not, load up some RCS consoles (though I wouldn't waste slots on them).
