Have to agree with Darren, though IŽd begin in the middle of Commander with a steep rise to the XP curve.
It actually makes sense even from a business point of view, with the first non-fluff Cryptic Point ships available there.

What bothers me the most about this, is that it shows Cryptic has a severe lack of understanding that character growth and leveling are a big chunk of a great RPG experience.
Which does not mean to get it over as quickly as possible!

I agree that their should be more of a curve. I hate the fact that I jump into elite STFs only to have several "noobs" jump in with me. Occasionally I get the guy who knows what they are doing, but mostly because of the horrible PUGs I stick to STFs with my fleetmates. The less trash junking up the endgames the better.

ALSO! With the leveling a little slowed down, you could have the majority of players entering fleets which would teach them how to do the elite STFs, that way, it becomes less of a hassle to the players doing them regularly.
