It would appear that your are not running at a very high res. I'd be interested to see if this holds true for those with state-O-D-art systems.

Wow, low-rez, man! You running STO on a TI-83 calculator or something?

Only time I've seen graphics like that was when I tried running City of Heroes and WoW using Wine on Ubuntu.

The facial texture there looks higher rez than the low rez settings which is why I smell a bad graphics driver or running STO on a Mac or Linux system with bad emulator settings. If it's not one of those two, I'd wager the system is tried somehow.

It makes me sad that STO looks like this for you.

The real question is, why are you zoomed in on their mouths enough to notice?

Actually, I was just on DS9. While my card might not be the best, it is no slouch. This NPC honestly looks that bad. Though interestingly enough, in my instance it was a Trill, it had the same exact look. Very detailed face, blocky uniform.

The art guys might want to give the costume a once over.
