I have the feeling this may have been mentioned before, but I'd like to add another voice to this thread. I really hate that, and it doesn't seem like hammering on the carrier commands does a whole lot to convince them to stop doing that [at least if you still are putting any fire into those targets; if you completely move to a different target, the craft sometimes seem to get the idea, but not often].
They seem to still be firing, as the percent HP left goes down as they sit there even with no one else firing. The main problem I'm seeing right now is getting them to even go to the nodes, as they seem to be ignoring locks being given after they have spawned. Locking, then launching fighters seems to make them go towards the target.
it might be fixed now, not sure, but I do know that they seemed to be firing on their way to the point of the gateway/transformer that they would just sit at doing nothing, and if you kept spamming more fighters every chance you got it was kinda like having them attack it as they would continue attacking on the path to that spot.
