Being the happy owner of a Logitech G510, I've considered the possibility of programming some of my G-keys to streamline ship-to-ship/space combat. For example, triggering the "High Yield Torpedo" BO skill, and then firing a torpedo, all with one key-press.

I don't want to be accused of cheating, however, so ... does anyone know if Cryptic and/or PW have a policy about such things?

Take a look at this thread about keybinds:

You are allowed to program macros into the keyboard as long as it takes an actual keystroke to activate it and you cannot use them for farming purposes.

Please keep in mind, going forward things "could" change, not saying they will.

Some of PWE's games do not allow this, and disable that kind of functionality. Depending on how things go in the future, how players try to exploit things, etc; as with any MMO, things are always subject to change.

Enjoy the keyboard!
