Photon torp mk x [dmg]z2

aft: 3x antiprotion beam array

Tac consoles: 4x Antiproton Mag Regulator mk x 12 (+26 Starship Antiproton Weapons)

Should i also remove the 4th tac console and use a topr buff? or remove the torp and fit another antiproton?

Is there any consoles i should be using to increase my dps, either tac or engineering?
1) Switch to Antiproton Turrets so your aft weapons are always firing on a target in your front 45, which you should doing for your DHCs.

2) Make sure you have at least Canon Rapid Fire II & Cannon Scatter Volley II or alternatively Cannon Scatter Volley II x 2.

3) Photon Torps are ok, but most prefer Quantum Torps. Torps are more spike damage rather than DPS usually.

You can viably go 3x AP Mags +1 Torp console or 4x AP mags.

But I think you should change to AP turrets first and see how that improvement feels.

One quick tip I'd shoot out is that if you're using a fleet escort to use DEM. As a fleet escort you can utilize your 2 ensign engineering slots for heals or resit stacking (or EPtE or EPtW or whatever).

Also it would help to know what prof you are. An engineer in a fleet escort can actually make a petty durable escort and so you can divert more Boff abilities to offensive skills opposed to heals. A tac also might want more heals from his Boff than a sci or eng captain (the longer you live the more damage you do, you need at least one heal and don't let anyone tell you otherwise). An engineering captain can also use nadion inversion with beam overload to reduce the power drain from beam overload, so keep that in mind when you select your skills as well.

Basically let your captain's career dictate what engineering boff abilities you select and then go from there.

I am a tactical officer, I have emergency power to shields 1 and emergency power to wep2, and my other EnginBoff does hull repair.

Looks good so far, except maybe the DBB.

Do you have Beam Overload? If not get rid of the Dual Beam Bank.

I would get rid of it anyway, and get Quantum Torpedos for Spike Damage.

Aside from the Tac consoles, none of the rest is as important as your BOFF skills.

What are your Tactical BOFF Skills?

I'd say you should switch out the beam arrays for turrets. Then you can fire all 6 energy weapons while facing forward. Make sure you have a lot of attack buffs like tac team, rapid fire cannons and etc.

This is coming from a cruiser pilot mind ya, but I've seen people flying defiants kill cruiser pros with an alpha strike in less than 10 seconds.

One thing I would recommend you test out is the breen engines and deflector. that will give you an extra +30 to EPS. you will need it if you use beam overload on that setup. Also the breen engines are a combat engine which is more efficient at Low power levels. It is also quite maneuverable and still allows for maneuverability when in tractor beam.

I would have changed out one of the electroceramic hull plating for a Field Generator while you still can put it in the engineering slot. With the aegis shields you are looking at about 9000 per shield facing. With tac team you will live for quite a while.

You want to get beam overload 3 if you keep the dual beam bank. I get spike damage of over 30000 all the time with it.

what? I fire 7 energy weapons when facing forward, 3 cannons, 1 beam, and 3 turrets.

My Boffs skills are,

Beam:fire at will 2, beam target shields2, cannon rapid fire 2, cannon scatter volley. tactical team,

I would Suggest beam overload 2 over fire at will 2. Beam overload has a timer on it the same as the cool down so you can let the timer run down before you engage and hit it almost right away after.
