I've been curious for a while now, how come the Nausicaan heavy marines are physically less robust then normal marines? the normal marines wear more armor as well...

I mean, I'd hate realistically to get into a fight with a Nausicaan marine, but the Nausicaan heavy marines aren't as impressive.
