I'd say this is a reasonable pack for a really cheap price. Alone the +100 'bad deal awareness' gained shortly after purchase will save those players a lot in the future - especially once the next grabbag hits.

Let them make money off F2P people! Stop complaining!

They need money to run the game, and I rather F2P people pay for little things than us non-F2P getting ripped in another 'winter package' fiasco.
how about you stop accusing people of complaining. that can be considered flaming. and you can bet there will be another 'winter package' type of item popping up sooner or later regardless of how much this thing makes

though as for this starter pack, its a ripoff

Well being a symmetrical cube you forgot about the 5 starboard and 5 port weapons slots, and the 16 turn rate.

Back on topic, I just can't help but notice that for 240 C-points you can currently buy about 60,000 dilithium. More than enough to set yourself up with all the same equipment, buy equipment to sell for a fair amount of credits to start out with, buy Bridge Officers and make sure they have most the skills you want, and still have enough get all blue equipment when in you hit Lt. Commander

Yes a newbie might not know about this, but in my opinion that still doesn't mitigate the fact that this a poor value compared to what's available to a player before they even leave the spacedock for the first time.
I'm fairly new and if this had been available and I had bought it when I started, I'd be pretty ****ed right now at what I could have gotten for the points.

Edited: Made a mistaken assumption.

I bought one, it did not show up so I bought a second one.

I also bought the two bridge crew package and the Borg Bridge Officer.

None of them show up in the game. I was ripped off or do I have to claim it somehow in the game?

Yes I am a new player.

The starter pack should have shown up in your inventory, It might be a single package there that you have to right click to open but I'm not sure. If nothing is in your inventory then you should contact support.

For the bridge officers, press "U" and you should get a status window. Go to the "Stations" tab and you should see any new bridge officers on the right side of the window. Mouse over them and you'll see their stats, right click on them for the "commission" option to claim them. When you say you bought the two bridge crew package are you talking about the extra bridge officer slots? How many slots you have will show up on the left side of the window.

Sorry your start out was so rough.

Thanks I found both of them, used them both.

I also have the Borg Bridge Officer now as well.

The instructions were not clear that I had to look in my inventory to find it, I thought buying it was automatic or something.

I now have an all female crew, is that normal? I'm not complaining, but I think my wife might say something if she sees me playing with all female staff on my ship bridge and away teams. Good crew though, I'm an equal opportunity employer.

Yeah, the instructions really should be more clear, given that it's meant for someone who is likely unfamiliar with the c-store and the game interface.
Can't see anything wrong with an all female crew, given that I have one myself.

Some things you might want to know about bridge officers, you will get more as you level up. You can commission them if you have the open slots or you can look at the skills they have and use them to replace skills your current bridge officers have. There is also a trainer at Earth Spacedock that can replace skills for a fee.

Important, doing this erases any points you may have spent on the skill your replacing and you will have to re-earn them. Fortunately, bridge officer skill points accumulate quickly in this game.

Also, as you get promoted, be sure to promote all of the officers you use on the ground. While an officer may be slotted in an ensign slot on your ship and only have one space skill available, they aren't limited that way on the ground and have access to all ground skills available for their rank.

Just a few things I wish I had known in advance when I started a few weeks ago, Good Luck.
