If people want to buy this I see no problem with it. Certainly no reason for other players to be angry about it.

when i first read on that piece of news a few days back i automatically thought, PW do not trust us to to play this game on our own and they have to spoon feed us to get their desired result. besides the pride thing being ovbious. as everyone else has said, the idea is completely without any logic since you can do better from mission rewards and the exchange to get items without paying any points towards to get it, sure it may take a few extra hours but it can be done easy.

i dont see anyone stupid enough to fall for this scam, basically. its such a low blow i cant believe they are bold enough to do it really. still... each to their own i guess.

What's sad is that the stuff is sold of and as a result cant be re-claimed. It's C-Points for a basic kit that's worse than what you get out of normal beginner's play and it's a one-shot. Meh.
