i thought BOTH the t5 and the t3 had a console, the one granting "efficient" and the other granting "performance" both granting 50% off cd for any transwarps + the ships themselves when used give additional transwarps
but it seems: the t5 doesnt have any console at all, its a completely build in passive. now i have to buy the same ship a second time to get the console i should already get with the t5 one ... plus the t5 console would have been better ^^ maybe theyll change that someday ...
3)The Advance warp driver coil that would have came with this ship was quickle discontinued due to controversy
In the prep work for free to play they were adjusting all the ships with special abilities to have 9 console slots and their abilities in console form. For example on the Defiant retrofit, the ship had 8 console and the cloak built in. it was change to a 9 console ship with a cloaking device console.
The Tier 5 Excelsior was already a 9 console ship and they moved all the transwarp abilities to a console and reduced the number of transwarp location in half. This was viewed as a nerf because they now needed a non combat console changing thier combat build and the reduction of transwarp locations viewed and improper business practices due to the ship being advertised differently when purchased.
The excelsior was rolled back.
If you look far enough back you will find many controversies and poor choices with ramifications on the game. This ship is no stranger to controversies The t3/t5 nebula/excelsior purchase promise is one of them.
