# 1 Vice Admiral ship
02-01-2012, 05:57 PM
I just leveled up to VIce Admiral and I have 2000 C store points sitting in the bank. I was wondering if it was really worth it to get one of the 2000 ships. I was looking at the MVAE and the Advance Heavy Cruiser refit. Or should I just convert some of those points over and just get a fleet escort for STF?

Thanks for the help,

How many times must I repeat there is no such thing as a superior ship...?

Get the one that intrigues you. They're all fine ships.

It really depends how you play! I've got the Multi Vector Assult and the Defiant refit, as well as some of the cruisers, I find I prefer the speed of the MVA and the defiant as I can zoom in and out and turn very quickly, cruisers are much slower to turn.

The splitting of the Multi vector is pretty cool, as is the cloak on the defiant I don't do many stf's I prefer soloing and this suits me fine, plus dual heavy cannons are cool. Still gonna get the oddessy class to take that for a spin tho

But hakashin is right there isn't a superior ship, just ones that suit your gameplay

Okay, now for actual tips.
Better hang on to your CP and buy stuff that uses them, like ships, inventory/officer slots.
You will eventually refine enough Dilithium in game to buy those "normally" available ships, but you need slots to put them somewhere.

First, yeah theoretically the ships are about equal, but some are a bit more and some quite a bit less.

Currently the Galaxy refit is the weakest, people rather go for the Galaxy-X if they are TNG lovers.
The Voyager refit power is currently more of a gimmick, but the ship is okay. The Nebula is actually useful, but mostly in PVP.
The Defiantīs cloaking comes in handy in PVP only too.
Prometheus MAV Mode is fun, not quite sure about itīs acutal usefulness, but you get a nice escort with a different Boff layout to experiment with.
The Excelsior is currently the strongest cruiser in game.

The Vulcan is cool and you get a "free" shuttle.
But only useful in a single mission in the whole game, that may change. Maybe even this year, probably.

The Lollipop is a good ship. I'd recommend that.

I have the Fleet escort and don't want to go for the Tac Escort since I'll lose an Eng post.
