# 1 STF Changes - Good or Bad?

I just did an Elite Infected run with a group of very experienced people in the STFs and we noticed some things were changed, others were not touched.


Okay the Elite Borg are now Level 50 than the previous level 56, but yet their HPs are the same and their damage has gone up?

1-Shots: These were not fixed at all and escorts still blow up in 1 or 2 shots. And with the Shield nerfs, surviabililty had dropped greatly. So why wasn't the damage lowered and Borg Torpedo attacks become visible so players can actually have a chance to hit Brace for Impact?

Borg High Yields: Still have high HPs that take a prolonged focused attack to destroy (which in the Borg DSEs are highly annoying, especially with Rengeration casted on them).

The Gates: The Gate was "fixed" so players no longer abuse the 8-10km advantage?

Borg Spam: This was not fixed at all, especially in the Cure. Not sure why.

Assimlation of Officers in Infected: This was not fixed, was it?


So basically it's not really easier, just exploits fixed. With a slight improvement over Tech drops? (That waits to be seen if that drop rate really was improved).



So what do you all think? Agree? Disagree?

Your information here is incorrect.

On Elite only the critters were lowered by 1 level. Previously they were level 52 they are all now level 51. In our UI that would show up as a green "0" when you target them. Meaning the critters are the same level as you are.

Previously they would have shown up as a red "1" meaning they were 1 level higher than you were.

I also lowered the level of the last two encounters on Infected ground that you need for the optional objective.

These are the only two changes that I personally made, if the gates were updated it was done by the powers team, so i can't really tell you one way or the other. Same answer for the HIgh Yeild Torps and Shots, again that's powers and out of my jurisdiction.

By lowering the overall level of the critters on the elite versions, that automatically adjusts them down a small percentage (around 10% easier) in overall health and damage. It also means that you are fighting them at your level as far as hit/miss goes so overall you will be doing more damage to them.

Other than this, increased the tech drop rates across the board on normal and elite, as well as the random EDC drops from trash mobs on both normal and elite.

NINJA EDIT PER GOZER'S CHAT WITH ME JUST NOW: What the Great Goz means is that the levels of encouters in any of the Elite STFs have been lowered by one. That makes Infected encounters even to your level, same with Cure/ KA ~Brandon

This 2 are the same thing, and I think is working as intended, and it can be used against them to some degree. You can get the tac cube in infected elite to kill itself in like 3 torps if your careful.

I personally have no idea if this is a bug or working an intended. Goz?

Borg Spam: This was not fixed at all, especially in the Cure. Not sure why.

Not sure what ya mean here. The Cure workers thing is pretty clearly work as intended, and it possible
to overcome it. We use tacs with grenades kits and knock back weapons. Killing them is a waste of time, cause they respawn very rapidly, but keeping them off the nodes is certainly possible.

Seems like the prototype parts drop once in a thousand still.

Elite Cure is not worth running in a PUG. Too much borg spam for not doing something very counter intuitive.

And one shot hits... :S Reduce the accuracy on those or else get rid!

yes you are.. lol...

which is why this is / was getting confusing... internally (as in what our tools care about when i do stuff) you are still a 51... which is part of the confusion here..

However that said..

All Critters on All Elite versions of the STF's should be = to player level now, if they are not than it's a bug that I'm not aware of.

When you target a enemy on all elite STF's they should show a green 0 .. meaning they are of equal level. They are all however still getting the elite buffs so they will be tougher than normal encounters that are the same level as you in the game.

the very first mob if you turn right is in power walking mode, can you slow them down so they actually walk like Borg?




and please please please, whoever is in charge of the tech that makes teaming possible,
there is a huge bug (near gamebreaking) that makes the auto teaming drop the team.
-> results in optional objective loot not beeing Need or Greed any longer
-> and if you try to team up manually you run against the FED + KDF can note team wall (which is stupid to begin with, why can't i have KDF players in my fleet? why can't i team with KDF Players in Red Alerts? etc. etc.)

plz pass that on to whoever is responsible for these things because it happens almost every run by now

Oddly enough, it seems to know exactly how much to hit you for to blow you up. Like the invisible/semi-invisible one shot from Tact Cubes is set to 200% damage and it's doing double my shields and double my hull or something.

I flew an escort with around 39k HP, it did about 41500 Damage an one shotted through shields which vanished in the same assault. Nebula with around 42k I get one shotted with damage around 47k making it through, Odyssey I get around 49k HP and got hit with a whopping 67k damage.

It's not like it's doing 60-100k every time across the board, it's literally hitting us with enough damage to blow us up from full health no matter what type of ship and not a lot more damage beyond that. Unless it IS hitting for 100k and the system stops counting when I'm dust.

Sure? I recall them having a 5 on the Elites on the previous version.

The Infected Objective, we failed in the first group with a very experienced team where some of them were gotten the Elite Objective in the previous version. Only thing we discovered is that Borg are more vulnerable from the flanks and the front is more resistant. That and we still get easily killed with the Borg Scatter Fire from a single Heavy.

What I'm trying to say is, they may be lower level but is their abilities lowered as well?



And if the Torpedos are part of the other team, well hopefully they get word of this. It's getting annoying to get killed either by these messed up NPC Torpedos being out of sync.

No, Borg Space with the ship wave spam. Sure in pre-made groups its a cakewalk, but in PuGs......yeah like previously said don't PuG this on Elite.

Yeah, they didn't even fix those big bugs. The degrouping bug as well as the fast-walking Borg in Khitomer.




Only thing good I can say about the STF revision - Tech Drops are actually good now. So thank you for that.

the new play with patch is a lot better and faster just one small thing

relocate the PVE buttun


I like the increase in tech drops
but don't like the kick team button I had whole team kicked 3 times trying to bypass need or greed mainly for chips

please lock that in STF's
