I dunno about anyone else, but STO's initial installer/downloader is not a good citizen on my network at all, it's absolutely killing my internet connection and making it impossible for me to do anything else while it downloads, so I've had to stop it until I can safely leave it on its own to finish.
This begs the question of whether it's possible to limit its download speed? Ideally the downloader should really get an estimate of its top speed, and then ease back 10-20% to avoid network issues like this. I know that most services of this sort use bit torrent, which is great for speed, but not so great for our network connections if it has no way of limiting its download speed to play fair!
