Okay guys, help me out by creating a database of bugs and design flaws in the Foundry. This is an old thread but a goody. All bugs must be seconded before making it to the database. Also try not to make this a Cryptic vendetta thread. I intend this thread as a quick reference to Devs and Foundry Authors.

BUG: Brief Title
CATEGORY: What element of the Foundry does it effect?
DESCRIPTION:
  1. A summary of what the bug entails?
  2. How too recreate it?
MISSION ID: The ID of a mission in-which has this issue.
TEMPORARY SOLUTION: What have you done to rectify the problem?
CRYPTICS SOLUTION: What does cryptic say to do?
CRYPTICS RESPONCE: What is there response to this bug?
REFERANCE NUM: Reference Number to tickets, bug reports or crash reports.
RESOURCES: Links to threads, video's or pictures about the bug?

Looping animations that are not implemented in a way that makes them usable for neutral npcs.

Not being able to fail a default dialogue.

Space wander.

Y relative to geometry doesn't seem to be working.

These are just a few things in addition to several pages of bug reports currently being posted. Please add some of those, and I'll second them.

I am creating one that starts at ESD. But in testing mode I can't leave ESD to handle the part in another system. Beam to ship is gray saying I can't abort mission, transporters don't work.

design flaw: We can apply ground sounds to space maps, but cannot apply any sounds to ground maps. Ex: add sound of a klingon base interior in a space map, but not in a ground map of a klingon space interior.

Sorry also forgot to mention. Custom to Social Zone Map Transitions don't work in Foundry. Only when published. Am working on a tutorial series about these. I plan on finishing the third part this weekend. Was going to release them in my new livestream series, but might be swindled by demand to release them earlier. (Sad Face)
Earth Space Dock is in the Cryptic STO Universe, unless using the custom map. If using a Custom to Social zone map transition, the only way to enter it is to use the leave system icon on your HUD beside the map. How does your story board go? Posting Screen shots might help us help you. Popups and map transitions have been a little shaky since the republish done by cryptic when the Tip Jar was implemented. Publish your mission and check it ingame. Kirkfat did recently shed some light on the possible bug, if this is what you are talking about. However there is no point in reporting it yet as no author currently has any idea of why it happens. Please if it is the bug, report it ingame as it happens.

You might be right, I may have the Cryptic responses around the wrong way. Will look into it, however it is hard as both those topics seem to be jelling as the same issue within the forum. Have more bugs to add and will edit accordingly in my next update of this thread. I am starting to realise why no one else wanted to do this thread.
