So I was listening to Al Rivera's interview with Priority One, and of course the Ambassador came up, and how it would fit in with the Tiers. This got me thinking, how would I re-tier the Enterprise line to make it flow a little better in the game.

Now this was just a quick thought, and an example I came up with. I'd leave the Connie's, TOS and refit, right where they're at and have no higher tier alternative, sorry those ships are way too old, and I love my TOS Connie. Tier 3 Excelsior, tier 3.5 Enterprise variation of the Excelsior. Tier 4 Ambassador, Tier 4.5 Enterprise variation of the Ambassador. Tier 5 Galaxy(LH) and Sovereign(UH). Tier 5.5 Enterprise variations of the Galaxy and Sovereign, and lastly tier 6 Odyssey, tier 6.5 Enterprise variation of the Odyssey.

Now before the, "OH NOES!!!!! I PAID FOR A T5 EXCELSIOR!!! I QUIT!!!!!" QQ, existing purchasers of the T5 Excelsior would get to keep it. I'm sure Cryptic would do that for us.

So, I'm interested to read what others think. How would you re-tier them?

IMHO, if they added the LT JG Rank to STO they could easily squeeze in the Ambassador between the Excelsior and the Galaxy.

Not to mention it would leave room for the other remaining canonical Federation ships that yet to be added.

My thoughts exactly.

All tiers need to go away and let us refit them are self's, in terms of weapon slots and boff slots. The Ambassador class is going to be T5 or T5.5 seeing as a better ship then the Excelsior. My 2 cents anyway.

T6? There's no room for a T6 right now.

I think all ships should be viable and retrofit for end-game. that should be a level cap perk. this game was advertised as you being able to captain the ship of your choice. and as such, it's my choice what I captain. do I think a Connie should have the same stats as a sovereign, no...are you crazy....but could a connie have the same stats as an intrepid, or make it an intrepid/defiant hybrid....that's what they should do, re-class the ships at higher tiers. I'dl ove to fly a t-5 connie sci ship, that would be truely canon with the cmd sci station!

Also with the akira, man...all that ship is is an NX with downward pointed warp nacelles! There should be an NX replica skin for the akira for T-5!

IMHO:
Move the T3 Excelsior to a T2 +1
Move the T5 Excelsior T3 no plus
Then the T3+ spot is open to the Ambassador
