yesterday, and today. I'm loading every DS9 map, and swapping out the sky files. Hopefully soon, all DS9 maps will look like that. (interiors and exteriors)

Probs not much you can do but if anything, a dark side of ds9 with shadow would be nice so its not overly bright everywhere on the station to fit with the dark space background you have now.

Love me some DS9

BTW, I'll be running all the FE's and recording me playing them, with commentary, each Saturday, and upload the videos to my youtube channel linked below, every saturday, can't wait to try them out and comment on them.

That's the idea.

I don't know if all of the other DS9 maps will be updated in time, but the FE ones should be.

The lighting on the station was adjusted, and there is MUCH more contrast to it now. There is actually a dark side like you see in the show. It's just that this shot is from the sunlit side, so what you see is all lit. There's a secondarly light of the wormhole also affecting the station, so it gets a blue glow from that.

Sounds good. Still think the lit side is still a bit bright like but maybe that side is facing the sun i dont know. Personally i would reduce the maps light by 35% and use a spot light or two to light ds9 properly using low powered spot lights, and see how that looked.

As you can see comparing your screenie to this one, yours is way overlit. And i would love to see a properly lit ds9 with it being mostly dark and just on the small bits it being lit but not by much as shown in the pic.

It looks perfectly fine to me. As you said, everything else in the game is "overlit" anyway.

These are some more angles. Im not a fan of some of the other shots where it is lit more. Btw i used to do 3d modeling in lightwave and modded games and did maps so i know a bit about this. Not saying im right for sto but it is what i would ideally love to see with regards to the lighting. I know lighting maps can be a bit of a pain tho and can take some time especially when using multiple light sources.

All im saying is in your shot it doesn't look dark grey even when lit that much compared to any pic u see on the net even if its well lit up and not many shadows etc it still retains a dark grey where as in your shot it is not near dark or grey.

The shows tend to be underlit due to film quality as well.

In HD, the blacks are blacker and everything else is brighter looking.
